New Moon Self-Pleasure Rituals for QTIBIPOC

What Is Magic?
Magic is simply using the unseen to shape the seen.
In Ritual, you use your will to manifest your desires. There are many ways to raise magical energy & focus your will: Sex Magic is just one of them. While a lot of Sex Magic is done in dyads or groups, Solo Sex Magic is just as powerful of a tool. Solo Sex Magic done in a group creates an even more powerful pool of energy for the individual spellcaster to pull from.
That's the intention behind these rituals: to bring QTIPOC folx together to create a powerful energy pool we can all contribute to and pull from for our individual spellcasting. The New Moon is a perfect time for casting spells of Attraction or Abundance.
What emerged over time is that many attendees were using this energy to propel them on their own journeys to heal their relationship with their body, genitals, and sexuality. Because so much of our wounding around our body & our pleasures is created by society—specifically by the depictions of our bodies as "othered" in White Supremacy & Colonization—coming together with other QTIPOC, where we are the norm and not The Other, creates a primal sacred space where we re/connect with our inherent Divinity, with all the ways in which our body as it is is Right.
How Moonkin Works
Moonkin is a closed group limited to 15 members. When you join, you commit to the full year—all four cycles. This closed container allows us to strengthen the energetic field, go deeper into our practice, and build the trust needed for truly transformative work.
Each cycle includes:
One live new moon ritual where we gather together to raise energy, cast spells, and deepen our practice
Two recorded new moon rituals - audio-only recordings you can use for your own practice during the months we don't meet live
This structure allows you to maintain a consistent new moon practice throughout the year while building intimacy and power with the group during our live gatherings.
What happens in the Ritual?
Rituals do not run strictly in "mundane time", but here is the basic structure:

The camera will be on for the first four parts of the ritual, and will then be shut off after the Break.
Who Moonkin Is (and Isn't) For
Moonkin is a closed ritual space exclusively for QTIBIPOC folx.
You must identify as BOTH of the following:
✨ QUEER/TRANS/INTERSEX — This means lesbian, gay, bisexual, pansexual, queer, same-gender loving, asexual (on the queer spectrum), transgender, nonbinary, genderqueer, Two-Spirit, intersex, or another non-cishet identity. You already claim this identity as part of who you are—not as something you're "exploring" or "curious about."
AND
✨ BIPOC — Black, Indigenous, or other person of color
This space is NOT for:
Cisgender heterosexual people (yes, even if you're "bi-curious," "experimenting," or "open-minded")
White people of any sexuality or gender (White folks: Moon Molt is for you!)
"Allies" or partners who don't meet both criteria above
Anyone who thinks "cisgender" is a slur
Why these boundaries matter: White supremacy and colonization have taught us that our bodies are "other," deviant, wrong. Moonkin exists as a counter-spell—a space where QTIBIPOC bodies are centered, celebrated, and sacred. These boundaries aren't about exclusion; they're about creating the conditions for our collective healing and power.

You do not have to have any experience with rituals or sex magic. You do have to believe that magic exists, and that you have the power to shape the world to your liking.
The easiest translation for Ache Di would be "registration fee". It's also a completely inaccurate one.

My Experience
I did my very first solo sex magic ritual in 1997 or 1998 & it was wildly successful.
My background in magick goes back to my early teen years of calling myself a witch and being one of the only 2 girls in my playgroup who could get the Ouija Board pointer to move. I got into Dianic Witchcraft when I came out as a dyke in 1988, but that soon felt too White for me. It was around that time that I got my hands on a copy of Jambalaya by Luisah Teish & it spoke to me on a very foundational level. For many years after I would do a modified version of the house-cleaning ritual outlined in the book (I still do).
A couple of decades later I found myself through a series of “coincidences” in the Ifa Temple headed by Luisah Teish, and named as a child of Yemaya. I’m also really clear that my work mostly fall’s into Oshun’s realm & I call on her at the beginning of my sessions & classes.
In 2016 I led New Moon Money Pouring rituals in my house for several months. In 2018, I led new moon & full moon rituals on Alameda Beach in CA. Currently I have a group of friends that I do New Moon Money Pouring with online.
My goal is to have a life where I spend the New Moon & Full Moon in ritual space. I also seek to create a community of qtipoc who want to dive deep into the magical power of pleasure to design the lives we desire & deserve.
