Black Breath Matters

Root & Rapture™ for Black Folx

Caring for myself is not self-indulgence, it is self-preservation, and that is an act of political warfare.
— Audre Lorde

Our very existence is an act of resistance.

Your rage is valid. Your grief is sacred. Your fear makes perfect sense. Every emotion you carry is legitimate, and this space holds all of it.

Black Breath Matters is our monthly gathering to breathe together, free from the white gaze, free to feel whatever the hell we need to feel in our bodies. No performance. No code-switching. Just breath, truth, and each other.

We remember that we've never been worthless—we've always been worthy. We wrote the book on survival, turned scraps into soul food, transformed generational pain into joy. We carry the protection of our ancestors and the hope of our descendants.

This is where we reclaim what's ours: pleasure, joy, breath, and tenderness as our divine birthright. Where our energy bodies take up every inch of space that has always belonged to us.

These sessions are open to all Black people, and only to Black people.
